Is natural cure effective in helping diabetes?
We are thinking of intercepting the concept of naturopathy in helping my step dad for his diabetes condition. Is it going to be effective? Anyone had tried before?

here is my natural cure…..proper diet and plenty of exercise….3 years,,,,never been so healthy
I’ve tried it and think it’s great but WITH the regimen my doctor has laid out for me, not INSTEAD of it. There’s not a thing bad to say about exercise and a good diet for folks who are physically able to do the exercise. I am obese, and have been since radiation therapy for cancer and am 100% disabled do to severe and extensive osteoarthritis. I find it irritating when people point a finger and smugly announce my problems could all be solved with exercise. (With twenty years of military service behind me, I am no stranger to exercise)
So, in sum: natuopathy practiced in conjunction with accepted medical practices for the control of type 1 diabetes is great.
I use cinnamon and glucobalance. I sent some to my father in law and his numbers came way down. From like 18 to 7. His doctor wrote a prescription so he can get it government funded. He lives in Australia. I live in New Zealand. You take GlucoBalance the recommended way on the bottle and yes it does work. I get it at the herbal shop, Hardees they call it here.
I think you should look into dietary means of managing his diabetes. Don’t do herbs or supplements (aside from vitamins). You’re not going to find any that are really effective. Don’t stop monitoring his blood sugar, it’s still necessary. And keep in touch with his doctor. I would hate for you to undertake this and think that doctors are evil and then damage his health as a result. With that said, many people with diabetes have effectively managed their blood sugar levels with diet. The first thing you should cut out of your diet is gluten. Many many diabetics have developed the disease as a result of celiac disease or other types of gluten intolerance. Also, consider switching to a raw food diet or a macrobiotic diet. This can be done, but it will take a big lifestyle change. Here is a website about raw food diets. I read this family’s book and their son was diabetic prior to starting the diet. He no longer has any problems: http://www.rawfamily.com/
My suggestion is the raw food diet. Many people claim that it has amazing benefits for their health. I do about 60% raw myself.
Let me know if you have any questions!
You don’t say what type your father in law is. If he is type 1 using insulin then messing with the treatment plan his doctor has worked out is dangerous. I’ve actually had people tell me I could stop taking insulin simply by going vegetarian which is rubbish I’d be dead by now if I believed that.
Absolutely.
You can read about it here at http://www.realfoodnutrients.com/db/cause.htm
I’m sure a naturopath can help him using nutrients and a low carb dieet.
You can read articles and get information here as well

Yes it is . . . i should know, because I was able to reverse my diabetes(Type 2) in a relatively short period of time by following the steps in “The Diabetes Reversal Report”
I highly recommend this valuable resource because it easily showed me how to naturally curb the effects of diabetes and ween myself off of insulin until it was no longer needed.
You can get the diabetes reversal report at the website in the resource box.
