@insulitelabs Ive heard that this condition is reversable but everyone keeps telling im suppose to be on this diet forever. But the fact is i dont wanna be on this diet forever. Sure im not gonna be able to eat candy and chocolate like i use to all the time but i wouldnt mind a 20 oz bottle of soda once in a while either ONCE IN A WHILE. not like i use to when it was every day. How long does one have to remain on the diet? Can i ever get off the diet? Is there a cure to prediabetes?
@insulitelabs I have lost 26 pounds doing the diet. And im still losing weight but not as fast. I was 297 now my weight is 270 last time i checked. My suger was 239 the first time i checked it but i had no symptoms of diabeties and it was 80 sometimes the next time it was checked and the third time it was 127 and then when lab work was done it was 130. I dont take insulin what i dont understand is that if its prediabetes how come its pre type 2 and not type 1
@insulitelabs My doctor put me on a diet the moment i was diagnosed. My suger was 130 after he took my blood test. Usually ill eat a hamburger once a week maybe even twice with some french fries, But that is my only meal a day that and a HANDFULL of grapes in the morning. the other days i eat chicken or beef. with whole wheat white bread. I miss soda mainly coke and pepsi and chocolate, Ill have a candy ONCE or twice a week but only ONE. That one candy has TONS of calories though.
Hello Makkand,

It’s not a nice feeling hey? I quit smoking 11 months ago, snacked loads to get me through, then I got this.
Well I’ve lost loads of weight too, I’m hoping I can turn things around.
Oh and the craving I get for sugar, it feels similar to quitting smoking – I used pepsi max!
Are you selling me something?
Please take a look at our Pre-Diabetes website. It is dedicated to helping you better understand your condition and the specific steps you can take to reverse it. We also encourage you to contact our Medical Advisory Team at any time with your questions and comments at 1-888-986-4325. We are here to help.
Remember: When you change your diet gradually, you allow your brain to revise neural networks that support your high-carbohydrate consumption.
This yields lasting behavior change that enables you to leave unhealthy eating habits behind permanently.
Carbohydrate addiction is a major issue for many of our customers at Insulite labs. To successfully conquer carbohydrate addiction, the key is a gradual, consistent tapering. We don’t advocate stopping all carb intake suddenly, and switching to an all-protein diet. Rather, we recommend that you gradually reduce your carb intake by 10% per week. This will not feel like a shock to your system, and your efforts won’t be sabotaged by strong cravings. Before long, you’ll hardly crave carbs at all.
We also encourage you to contact our Medical & Advisory Team at 1-888-986-4325 any time with your questions and comments as we are here to help you in this journey.
Our goal is to treat the whole person and not give false hope that one “miracle pill” will reverse insulin resistance, which, if left unchecked, can cause serious damage to your cardiovascular system and may lead to a heart attack or stroke. Unlike numerous companies that have promoted ineffective, sometimes dangerous, products such as fat blockers, stimulants & appetite suppressants, Insulite Laboratories is dedicated to providing a natural, long lasting solution to insulin resistance.
For most, the underlying cause of pre-diabetes is insulin resistance. You can read much more about this on Insulite Laboratories Pre-Diabetes web site. Improving insulin sensitivity and correcting the hormonal imbalance goes a long way towards improving your health, and the Insulite System is designed to do just that.

I have had a morning fasting test, it came up as 6.9 / 124.6, does this mean that I’m days away from being diabetic?
Doctor is arranging for me to do a glucos check but apparently I will have to wait 2 months for this, I have a pot belly and I can’t calm down – help!
I’m 26 and have been diagnosed with pre diabetes. It’s strange because i keep losing weight! I’m on this diet that makes me feel even worse than i already feel. I don’t know what to do. i’m addicted to sugar and need 14 hours sleep a day. What do i do???
I hope that this answers your question. If we can help further, please let us know.
Best Wishes,
Insulite Laboratories
At this time, what is going to be most important is to make some changes in your diet and exercise regimen. I would also recommend that you consider the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System as this not only addresses nutrition and exercise plans that support your current and long term control of glucose and insulin but it also contains a non-pharmaceutical approach using researched supplements that can help reduce glucose, insulin and other risk factors associated with having elevated glucose levels.
Glucose readings 2 hours after eating (post prandial):
Less than 140 mg/dL = Normal glucose tolerance
From 140 to 180 mg/dL = Impaired glucose tolerance (pre-diabetes)
Over 180 mg/dL on more than one testing occasion = Diabetes.
Some sources list the high number as 200, but I would prefer to be more conservative and aim lower than that.
Here are some guidelines about what numbers you should be looking for:
Fasting Blood Glucose (i.e., first morning glucose check):
From 70 to 99 mg/dL = Normal glucose tolerance
From 100 to 125 mg/dL = Impaired fasting glucose (pre-diabetes)
126 mg/dL and above on more than one testing occasion = Diabetes
Has your doctor looked at fasting or 2-hour-post-prandial insulin levels? These may be helpful as well. It can indicate insulin resistance when other tests are within the normal range. We often see these levels starting to rise before glucose does.
However, with that being said, it is going to be important to reduce the fasting glucose levels within a normal range. I assume because you mentioned they were impaired that the levels were over 100 mg/dL but less than 126 mg/dL.
Also, the GGT (glucose tolerance test), I assume was done in the doctors office. If these levels were not elevated after drinking the glucose drink and then retesting at hourly intervals, that is great. However, the elevated fasting levels may are still a sign that the you are within the range to be diagnosed with impaired glucose tolerance/pre-diabetes.
I am glad that you chose to write in! As you suspect, having elevated fasting glucose levels can be a sign of concern. The levels that you have had elevated three times in the last two weeks, have these been done in the doctors office with a blood test or an at home finger stick using a meter? I am just trying to get a sense of what may be going on.
